Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and COGNITIVE STREAM OOD (“Hired”, “we”, “us”) for your use of the Hired app. By using Hired you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Who can use Hired

You must be at least 16 years old. By using Hired you confirm that you meet this requirement.

2. Your account

When you first open Hired, we create a temporary account for you. To continue beyond the free part, you sign in with Apple (iOS) or Google (Android). Keep your account secure and tell us if you think someone else is using it. You are responsible for activity under your account.

3. What Hired does

Hired offers interview lessons and interview-style exercises: you record video answers to questions and receive automated written feedback, generated by an AI language model, so you can practise.

Please understand: Hired is a practice and educational tool. The feedback is generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete. It is not professional career, recruitment or legal advice, and it is not a guarantee of any interview result, job offer or employment outcome. Use your own judgement.

4. Your recordings and content

Your recordings are yours. To run the service, you grant us a licence to store, process, transcribe and play back your recordings to you, and, as described in our Privacy Policy, to occasionally review them and use them to improve our feedback prompts. We do not use them to train AI models and we do not sell them.

You agree that you will:

• only record yourself, and not other people without their consent;
• not record or upload anything unlawful, hateful, harassing or infringing; and
• not misuse the app.

You are responsible for what you record.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use Hired for anything illegal, do not try to disrupt, reverse-engineer or hack it, and do not attempt to access other users’ data. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

6. Subscriptions and payments

Part of Hired is free. Continued access beyond the free part requires a paid subscription.

• Payment is charged to your Apple account (or Google account on Android). Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store (or Google Play) account settings. Deleting the app or your Hired account does not cancel a subscription.
• Prices are shown in the app and may change. We will tell you before a change affects you.
• Refunds are handled by Apple (or Google) under their policies, not by us.
• Where you have a legal right of withdrawal for digital content in the EU, you agree that we begin providing the service immediately once you subscribe, and that you may lose that right once access begins.

7. Intellectual property

Hired, including its lessons, exercises, design, software and branding, belongs to us or our licensors. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-commercial licence to use the app. Your own recordings remain yours.

8. Availability

We work to keep Hired running well but cannot promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features.

9. Disclaimers and liability

Hired is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on the app’s feedback.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using Hired and delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or misuse the app.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bulgaria. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring claims in your local courts.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make significant changes, we will notify you in the app. Continuing to use Hired after that means you accept the updated terms.

13. App stores

This section applies when you download Hired from the Apple App Store:

• These terms are between you and us only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
• Your licence to use Hired is limited to Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by Apple’s Usage Rules.
• We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the app, its support and maintenance, and for any warranty or product claims, including claims that it does not meet legal requirements or that it infringes someone’s rights.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
• You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US embargo and are not on a US list of prohibited or restricted parties.

When Hired is available on Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply to your download and purchases there.
